Rimmel and Maybelline Primers Comparison!

I believe that a primer can literally make or break the finish of your makeup and therefore I do enjoy trying out new ones and comparing them.

I have been using the ‘Baby skin instant pore eraser primer’ from Maybelline in the shade clear for quite a while now. It costs £7.99 for 22ml which is more expensive than the Rimmel one at  £5.99 for 30ml. This Maybelline primer feels fairly silicon based I find that this helps to blend in your makeup but I’m not very keen on how it leaves you fingerers feeling oily. On the skin it dries to a normal skin type finish but can cause oiliness in some areas.

Recently I have been using the ‘Stay matte primer’ from Rimmel in the shade clear. I really like the formulation of this primer, it feels like a moisturiser. It dries really quickly which is always good especially when you’re in a rush, every morning… I have normal skin but do get oily in some places, for example on my chin, around my nose and parts of my forehead. Since using this primer I have been needing to apply powder to those areas a lot less throughout the day. I think this primer actually makes my skin look a lot better than It is, my sister even mentioned my skin looked better. A complement is always a good sign that a product is worth using.

Both primers are very good for drugstore, I am going to continue using the Rimmel one because it is better value for money and I prefer the formulation. Links below to both products.
