So as it is the summer holidays *yay* most people will be
travelling away for a break. If you’re going to Cornwall or LA you obviously
need to pack a suitcase and have a bag handy with all your essential things, as
I’m nosey I enjoy watching and reading about what people put in their travel/ carry-on
bag therefore I thought I would share what I usually put in mine. I’m going to
Turkey in literally one day so I have made a list of all the things I will be
putting in my rucksack.
1. I got this navy floral rucksack from Amazon about two years
ago (I think) it was really cheap, only about £10 and it has lasted well. I really
like the bag as it is comfy and big so it’s good for travelling.
·
A notebook and pen- I prefer writing on paper
then on the notes app on my phone. You can do anything in a notebook to pass
the time, write stories, doodle, literally anything, It’s yours.
·
Headphones- I like to take two pairs of
headphones with me when travelling, I take my apple ones which came with my
phone and some over the head ones from a brand called Wezc I think.
·
Phone/ IPod/ Tablet- I love music and it makes
journeys and long waits bearable so I usually take my Phone and IPod with me
when travelling and sometimes my Kindle but I don’t use it much.
3. Necessities of mine which I put
in my rucksack are;
·
Kwells travel tablets- just in case of a long
drive or turbulence
·
Paracetamol
·
Lip balm- I always carry a lip balm with me and I
love the EOS ones my favourite at the moments is Honeysuckle Honeydew because
it tastes like watermelon and that reminds me of summer!
·
Hand gel- Aeroplanes, buses and trains can be
very dirty and people often don’t realise. I always carry hand gel with me.
·
Deodorant- Because you don’t want to be that guy
who smells nasty.
·
Portable charger- My phone always runs out of
charge and my portable charger from Poweradd is so good for travelling and long
days out.
·
Water- …
·
Hair ties- Long hair… gets annoying.
·
Sunglasses- For when you get to your holiday
destination, hopefully you will need them.
4. I enjoy reading, especially on holiday when I don’t spend
400 hours on my phone, I can get through a few books really easily whilst sun
bathing throughout the trip. It is also a way to kill time whilst traveling. To Turkey I’m taking;
·
The beginning of everything- Robyn Schneider
(Read her other book Extraordinary means, it’s so good)
·
The great Gatsby- F. Scott Fitzgerald (Ezra?)
·
To kill a mocking bird- Harper Lee
·
All the bright places- Jennifer Niven
(Recommended by Zoella)
·
Q & A a day- In this journal you answer a
question a day for 5 years and I really enjoy filling it out every day.
5. And lastly some other makeup products I’ll be taking in my carry-on bag, which I need to get a clear bag for, include;
·
Stay Matte Powder- Rimmel, because I no like
being shiny and to set the concealer if I use it.
·
Concealer- Collection lasting perfection (For spots
or redness), Rimmel wake me up (In a lighter shade for under my eyes. I would
only bother using these if I had any really bad spots or if we’re going out
after we land/ meeting people.
·
Hand food- Soap and glory, flying always makes
my hands dry so I like to take this with me.
·
Makeup brushes- Jessup angled flat top for
powder and Jessup tapered brush for concealer under my eyes (also a smaller
concealer brush for spots/ redness). Even though I have brushes from higher end
brands the Jessup brushes have really impressed me, they were really cheap at
about £12 for 10. Also if I lose them it won’t be the end of the world :)
I hope you've liked finding out what’s in my travel bag and that
it helped you in some way. Enjoy the rest of your summer holiday and have a
safe journey if you’re travelling.
